DOH lauds Fe Del Mundo Medical Center improvements

"This is a very good initiative and a very good response to the people’s need for quality health care," Health Undersecretary Dr. Gerardo Bayugo said as he toured the new Fe Del Mundo Medical Center. "I think this will be very much affordable, especially now that PhilHealth (Philippine Health Insurance Corp.) covers 100 percent of the population."

Richard Lirio, the hospital’s operations director meanwhile, highlighted how the FDMMC’s improvements were borne of the partnership between the hospital and Mount Grace Hospitals Inc. (MGHI). Now under the management of MGHI, FDMMC is able to offer facilities and services in allergology, obstetrics and gynecology, surgery, with various sub-specialties in internal medicine and pediatrics, anesthesia and pain management, and comprehensive diagnostic services.

The collaboration between MGHI and FDMMC also marks the evolution of the Fe del Mundo Hospital from being a children’s medical center to becoming a holistic medical center that offers services for patients of all ages, with various needs.
